As a Solutions Architect in Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s utility computing web services (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon Elastic Block Store, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, just to name a few) within strategic accounts across Asean, with specific focus on how to run Microsoft solutions on the AWS platform.
Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, and developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as leveraging your understanding of Microsoft systems, helping customers to construct services and enterprise systems using the AWS partner platform.
The ideal candidate will possess customer facing skills that will allow them to represent Amazon well within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact and give guidance to enterprise IT/networking teams, software developers, and enterprise architects, especially deep understanding of Microsoft systems with specific focus on their architecture and infrastructure needs. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Basic Qualifications
The right person will be highly technical and analytical, possess several years of implementation/consulting experience.
Experience and deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Sharepoint, ASP.NET, .net applications, etc) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
Experience working with enterprise architectures and enterprise architects is highly desired.
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and CxO presence is highly desired.
Some amount of travel will be required across Asean.
